Fiddler pup!

Little Bossman had a birthday a few weeks ago and he had been talking about a puppy for a while. We searched pretty hard and finally found a breeding we liked and that was close enough to drive and pick one out. I normally don’t mind shipping a pup in without picking it for myself, but with this being his first we figured he better chose his own. So the day after his birthday we headed out on the three hour drive and after an hour we were back on the road with “Lilly”. Her mother is a line bred Fiddler and they used a Black Magic male. She should have the get up and go we look for, and the natural retrieve that makes training so much easier.

We had a few tense moments when “Max” found the new pup, but they seem to be getting along well. Last weekend we headed up to Leach Lake area for some grouse action and she found her first bird while running around at the cabin. Max even honored her point. Hopefully later in the season he’ll be able to actually get her out on the trails.

What a great addition to the family. So, how much stuff has she chewed up?
