Who knows what they’re going to do? Just a guess but..If the ice is out before opener they’ll get out there and get all they can before the crowds arrive. Once opener arrives I don’t see them netting with all the ramps full and boats all over but you never know?? That could get ugly real fast! I think they’ll do what damage they can before opener, if possible, and scoot out of town. But who knows we could be dodging nets on opener. If that’s the case I think the words “OOPS…did my knife just cut through that net?” would be muttered by a few boaters.

Thats what we are all waiting to see!!! The lake has a little open water along the westside. The eastside of the lake is still tight to the shoreline. We still had ice fishierman walking out in the Isle and Wahkon bays on Saturday! The creeks are running pretty well right now and the lake has come up about 3 inches!!! We have rain in the forecast today and tommorrow so we will wait and see what that does to the ice……….

Just got word from my good friend Joe Potter that he had a dog taken from his yard yesterday afternoon. It happened sometime between 3 and 530. The collar on the dogs was unbuckled and left laying on a outstretched chain. This was also one of the large 2″ leather collars and it had been raining. So we all know it would be impossible to unbuckle alone.

The dog is about a 40lb male Plott. Almost all black. Some brindle if the sun hits him right. A thin white streak on his chest. Here is the kicker. He has a freeze brand on his back right leg as you look at the dog in the face. A large approx 6″ JP.

The dog was taken in SW WI in the town of Lafarge.

If you happen to see this dog show up in camp. Please contact Joe 608-625-6204 home 608-572-5655 cell. Or, you can call me as well at my number posted below, and I will get in contact right away!!

Joe, is sending me a pic and I will post it right away.

Thanks, for any help you may be able to lend!!!!!!!!

That does suck! Do ya hunt upland or waterfowl or not hunt with that kind of dog? I’ve never heard of a Plott.

    Chappy:

Plotts are hounds that typically trained to chase ‘yotes, bears & bobcats, and maybe coons. There may other animals that they are trained to run, but those are the typical ones chased.

Yes, the dog has been located. It came under some very fishy circumstances that are being looked into. The dog amazingly showed up at the house of a local pound worker some 30 miles away. This was the second time in less than a year this guy has had trouble with her. The last time she took pups out of the yard. She said she had caught someone trying to steal them. She just happened to be there at the time. Seems that in that area. That particular woman finds a way to ummmm rescue a bunch of dogs. Strange how every time you then have to pay to get your dog back. Suppose that is why it is being looked into.

    Thanks for all the replies.
