Not a huge walleye fisherman here but I do fish for them in winter. The guys had been doing pretty well, not sure about recently. Pigeon Creek ramp in Bettendorf is the closest good ramp. No docks in yet on the entire pool and the current is moving fast so launching alone could be a chore. Other ramps include just downstream from the I-74 bridge in Bettendorf, or in Moline at 55th St. One thing I can say for pool 15 is it has not many, but very good ramps.

never launched there, but there’s the empire park launch in hampton too. my brother just did some fire dept training there, said it’s pleanty deep, plus there’s less current.

I fish there almost every day. We have been doing good the last few weeks up to last weekend. Someone pulled a 7lber out of there on wednesday. Nothing hit today after 2 hours of jigging. There is a boat ramp at lock and dam 14 on the iowa side. Its a good boat ramp, we use it for duck hunting. We hunt just down from there.

Got a call from Don Hanson on Sat. as he’s training my almost 6 month old Lab named Ruby. He had just gotten done with a feild trial with her. Any way he proceeded to tell me that she almost won the puppy division! She did really well on the 1st 2 birds and the 3rd one was out there 150 yards or so and when she went to get it, She saw the guy standing there after throwing the bird and started barking at him instead of getting the bird. Dumb dog!!! Just kidding……That would have been way cool for her to win. Can’t wait to get to see her in action on Friday when we pick her up!I might have to get Dan (Son) to start with feild trial stuff with her. He wants her to do Dock dogs.

Perchy…..I’m thinking sbout doing it. Dan wants to try doing Water Dogs with her. I’d like to do the Feild trial stuff though. Do the dogs need to be papered? She’s got them, I just havn’t registered her. Did’nt want to put the $$ out there if I get her fixed anyway.

if you want to run AKC HT/FT, yes, you need to have her registered with the AKC, its only like 30 bucks.

if you ever want to train, just shoot me a pm, and i’ll give you my number. i do most of my yard work at the high school, and then have a couple other fields around town that i use for throwing marks.

Glad to see your son will be doing the handling. I mean, it’s not fair Ruby may be smarter than her master.

Congrats on getting a smart pup. That is half the battle!!
