    DO IT!!

There was just a post on another board about a guy who lost his dog duck hunting 2 years ago (thinks someone stole him). Anyways, he just got his dog back 2 years later thanks to teh chip. The dog was found walking down the side of the road.

Many breeders actually require it…I know the ones I use do.

Jackie says check with your local animal shelter. The Dunn County one will chip your dog or cat (both of our cats are chipped)for $20.00. This will also include registration through 24 petwatch. She says bring him on over and if your looking for a pet checkout petfinder.com. Our local shelter has about 125 cats and quite a few dogs including mastiff, hounds, beagles, labs, mixes. Febuary 16th the shelter is having a chipping and rabies clinic. 20 bucks for the chip and 12 for the rabies vaccination.

One reminder that I just read recently and hadn’t really thought of too much is if you move, make sure that you include the pet recovery service on you list of places to give a change of address to. It would be an easy one to overlook during a move.
