table work problems

for the table work, to teach the dog to hold there is a trick that is used for a small rope and im thinking its call the figure 8 and you loop it around there toes and pull to make them open there mouth (its a stimulant) not sure how it properly goes around the toes anyone know?

You are trying to tie a half hitch…. the figure 8 goes around the muzzle.

This will be tuff to descibe – but if you loop a piece of string – then make another loop and flop it over ontop of itself that goes around the leg – from there it’s another half hitch around the two center toes. The string from the double half hitch goes down the front of the leg.

I see you are in Rosemount… If you would like I have a couple guys who come over on nightly when we are not in the field to train their dogs on the table in Hampton. You are welcome to join us to take a look at how you tie that half hitch..
