Been taking it easy since hunting season ended. Getting out twice a day, once for simulated hunting the other for a walk. While working on various things during the training session, the one thing I am really pleased with is recall. Kota now will return on the whistle when in pursuit of game. This week he has flushed a deer and a few rabbits. Everytime when he began to chase, the whistle stopped him dead in his tracks and he promtly returned. This was one area that he needed work on during the hunting season. I am looking to get him out on some birds this weekend.
