kind of a long story but……
My brother and sister-in-law took a trip to Crane Lakes for a week. So my wife and I have two nieces and a Wymeroner (spell check) puppy for 5-6 days. So Saturday morning my wife, the girls and the puppy go for a walk early in the morning. I come out about 8:30 or so and the pup’s one eye is all swelled up and she has bumps all over her body. I am like REAL NICE , what did you guys get into when you went on the walk. So I give the pup some childrens Benadril and wash out her eyes. She goes down for a nap a little later on. I go to check on her around 12 noon or 1 pm. Both her eyes are swelled up and she has about three times the number of bumps on her body and her mouth and gowls are just huge. So after trying to get a hold of a vet, they all close at noon, I get a hold of the emergency vet. Yep, you better bring her in is what their response was. They come to the conclusion that she was bitten by either a spider or a bee. Give her two shots, one steroid and a large Benadril injection. So $99.00 to walk in the door, plus the vets time and $25.00 for each shot, for a dog that isn’t even mine. Real nice. All in all she is fine, back to her normal digging up the yard and crapping all over the place self. Oh yeah, did I mention that steroids and a young Wymer are not a great mix. Talk about a spaz. Anyway I really enjoyed the beers the rest of the day after that.
