I was just curiouse if the action you see at the bottom of your hole jigging match what you are seeing 15+ feet down? The reason I ask is line tenssion seems to feel differnt at different depths.

Might be a dumb question but wanna know what you guys think.

Not a dumb question and your absolutely right on it being different. Rod action, stretch in line, weight of jig, water depth or cuurent.all contribute to differences.

I’ve noticed braided line feels better than mono in water over 20 feet.
This is obviously due to the lack of stretch in the line.

I run 100% flourocarbon as it sinks opposed to mono which is slightly bouyant for this reason. I feel like I have a better feel for my jig in deeper water.

I do the same John. I like braid too but the freeze up was a problem. I really like high quality floro for ice fishing. Definitely helps keeping Presentation more consistent. I like tungsten in deep water too so I have a better feel

The more line the more variables. Higher end components does help with this.
