Glad to see I’m not the only one! What are some of your top baits to throw? I’m hooked on the Plopper and Frog at the moment but also like a good Jitter Bug bite as well!

Really no more exciting way to fish than with topwaters. However, the fish are not usually in the mood. Whopper plopper is over rated and over priced. It’s a well made lure, just doesn’t catch many fish.

Last year I couldn’t get them to come up for a plopper. Other than frogs in the slop. The topwater bite was off for me last year.

You like topwater for both bass and walleye? yay

I caught a walleye once on a topwater. I told him, I wouldn’t want to be a walleye either as I released him. coffee

Of course topwater Bass are fun. Mostly use spooks or popper stuff. Never tried a Whopper Plopper.

I will always be a popper and walk the dog type of lures fanboy. At times a prop bait here and there, mostly for windy conditions.

It think the appeal is working the lure and visually seeing the results.

SB I really love throwing the Plopper as I have found it can be worked in so many ways but there still is something about working a frog slow by a deep set of pads or grass mat and having a monster slurp it! woot

Or when that bass takes out a lily pad to get that lure on it.

You really have to appreciate the ability to crate a black whole by opening its mouth lol I think its time to get out and throw some frogs!
