Hey guys, does anyone have any recent info on where a guy might find perch or walleye on Devil’s Lake? My brother and brother in law are out there right now and the guide they hired canceled on them at the launch this morning. They were planning on spending two days with him to get an idea what depths and techniques are working this year but now they are lost. I have my spots from past years but I can’t make it out there until Friday. Any recent info on genaral waypoints or even just depths and lures would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks guys.

We went with the guy who runs that site out of Haybale Heights on a Snow Bear trip this past Janurary. Travis is a hard working guide and he is legit. He put us on a lot of fish. Perch weren’t on the bite when we were there but the Walleyes sure were.

I don’t know about buying waypoints. They just tell you were the fish were yesterday or before. But if you have no idea where to start they could be helpful I suppose.

Try “ rig it and jig it “. Guide service. Cousin of good friends here in CO that grew up on DL. They say he is catching fish at least posting fish. Good luck

Travis from devilslakefishingreport. Works at the bar at Woodlands resort in the evening. If bars are not closed in ND, you could maybe go chat with him. Ed’s bait will usually try to help you as well.

Thanks for the info guys. I’m not sure of the whole story with the guide yet but I’m assuming the rest of the group canceled because of the virus so they canceled on my brother and brother in law.

As for fishing, I’ll be headed out there tomorrow night and will be staying at a camp on creel bay or at the casino if they are still open. I didn’t fish there last year and the waypoints from a few years ago didn’t pan out for the guys the past two days. I’ll look into the fishing reports guy and see if that might help get a place to start and work from. I don’t have trouble cutting holes and putting in the work but just knowing where to start looking is more than half the battle on a lake that big.

I would look around current areas or staging for spawning areas.
