DIY Tent Pole

    I just picked up a used clam scout. Im 6’4″ and my head is touching the fabric that hangs down on the roof. I think if i had a support pole it will hold it up off my head. I figured i could pick up a piece of conduit but what are my options for clips to attach to the other poles? Clam has them but theyre kind of spendy.

    Clam sells replacement clips and extra poles I am sure you can make something out of those parts.

    Thanks but I was just curious if anyone had a diy ideas because the clips alone are $12 on clams website.

    I used some 3/4″ C-Clips from Otter UPC# 609142029001 that I got from Fleet Farm a couple years ago. I don’t know if they are available any longer. I believe they were about $6.00 for four clips. Worked perfectly with 1/2″ conduit to make a support pole for my Clam Scout.

    Amazon and Ebay are good places for clips and stuff like that. Cheap and effective!
