I’m thinking ice fishing as I’m temporary laid up. I want to have satelite. A guy from work has disk and could get me a extra receiver.I swore someone told me they know a guy who, for $100 he’ll get you a dish and set you up. I can’t remember where.any help?

Direct TV is far easier to find help with and more common so I hope you’re going that way, unless you have an account with Dish. High def is definitely harder to aim without an expensive pointing device also. If you’re going regular def and Direct, dishes are available all over or on the bay for dirt cheap. The receiver and card usually will come when you add the account to Direct for about $5-$6 per month. I actually have a receiver somewhere if you can’t find one but you do need an access card. I’m heading for LOW for a week but if you can’t find one in a week or so just PM me. They are all over too because everybody is HD now in their homes.

I got your msg but this new site is so slow and messed up it took me a while to respond. you’ll be ok, piggyback on your son, it’s a lot cheaper. I always thought Dish used two dishes though, one for local channels and on for satellite. I don’t know much about Dish but if you have trouble go to Hot Spot Outdoors and lots of people will answer. This site will straighten out as they work out the kinks. For a while though I just don’t have the patience to be here.
