Direct TV Ba-humbug

Direct TV is now charging extra the the holiday music channel.
I love that channel and listen to all the time from T-day to NYE.

Probably to no one’s surprise, I LOVE holiday music! I usually just listen to Kool 108 starting Dec 1 – Dec 31. They play a good variety.

We quit Direct this last Spring and went to Plug TV. We now get all the Direct channels including the NFL Ticket package for $25/month.

As of 6pm today sounds like we wont have KARE 11 anymore.

I had never heard of Plug TV until now and started researching it. I cannot seem to find a listing of their channels. The main reason I stick with DirecTv is because it has channels that have gone missing from almost all other providers and rarely are there “negotiation” issues with the various networks. Do you know where I could find a list of channels? They say 600+ but considering DirecTV is essentially that and about 400 of them are either PPV, Music or other trash I dont really consider the number to be relevant, I just want to see that networks they offer. I may try a free trial, but and just use it on my phone for a bit to play around with it.

This is from their website. It appears that they stream the channels through “third-party links”. Not really sure what that all means. I might give it a try as well.

Ya that’s pretty bush league. Sunday night football is the most watched program every week. They better get their act together soon

If you lose Kare11 you can get it through locast.org. I forgot who recommended it in a different discussion about streaming but we signed up and have been using it. For $5.00 a month you get all the Twin Cities local channels not just the main affiliates. So that includes 11.1 which is Kare11 and 11.2, 11.3 etc. I like it because we get 45TV on 5.2. not that there will be any State High School Tournaments this year but 45TV is the one who carries them.

Note: if you don’t pay there a lot of annoying ads asking for contributions. No contract, you can quite anytime. Did not find any info on a free trail.

You can just plug in an over the air antenna for free and get all the locals to. Just dont wanna have to do that.

ATT owns them….Won’t watch any thing they own.. FYI, Had Hulu done Now Arvig streaming .. Me like…
