The older I get, the more concerned I become about protecting my hearing while hunting. But, I don’t want to give up any of my hearing ability in the woods. I am very close to spending the money to get some custom fit digital hearing protection. I am looking at products from E.A.R. They get great reviews for target shooting, but I haven’t been able to find much on the net about how they perform in actual hunting conditions. I am worried that wind will affect them, or if wearing a stocking hat, they might not work well. Does anybody have any experience in the woods with a similar product? I want to protect my hearing as much as possible, but I don’t want to spend $1000 or more and not be happy with them.
