Diggs Traded

According to Adam Schefter, Stefon Diggs is being traded to the Buffalo Bills for a 1st, 5th, and 6th round pick this year and a 4th-round pick next year. In addition to Diggs, the Vikes also give up a 7th-round pick this year.

If all this holds and is true, I’m pretty excited. We get rid of a problem child who was a team player only when the ball came his way. If the Vikes were blowing out an opponent but he had 2 catches for 18 yards he was crabby on the sideline.

Also, that appears to be a huge haul for him. I honestly can’t believe the Vikes got that much, gives them tons of options for the draft this year.

They got a killer haul compared to what the Texans got for Hopkins. Happy about this deal. Clears up more cap space and our offense is deep enough without him.

Don’t let the door hit ya……
I swear Diggs wakes up every morning disappointed that he’s not Odel Beckam Jr.

Sorry Dan! Didn’t notice the thread already started!

They even got him out of the NFC!
I think they got a helluva deal.

Good riddance! They were headed for an obvious break up anyway. It’s supposed to be a good WR draft this year so hopefully they will be able to get talent there at a reduced cost and get rid of a cancer in the locker room. I used to love #14 but he turned into such whiney tool after the Minneapolis Miracle. Think that went to his head

Wonder what Houston and Buffalo are thinking. To see the package HOU got for Hopkins compared to what MIN got for Diggs ??? Good for the Vikings I guess.

Good for my packers too. Diggs had a TD in his last 7 games vs GB.

    I love football fans peace

Last Summer: “Diggs is an elite receiver. We’ve got him locked up for 5 years. This offense has so many weapons. This has to be the best 1-2 punch in football”

This Spring: “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. He was a #2 or #3 WR with attitude problems. We won that trade giving up a garbage pro bowl WR for some unknown commodities.”

Diggs biggest problem is he disappears against tough matchups. This is a great deal for the Vikes, especially compared to what the Texans got for DeAndre Hopkins who is a significantly better WR.

I see what you did there… mrgreen

And not only do they unload Diggs cap hit, but if they draft wisely they could hopefully end up with 2 or 3 quality players under rookie contracts.

It’ll be odd to see him in another uniform.
We’ll see how he does against NFC teams.

Both of those statements are accurate of where things were and are. And there were both time and developments that passed between them. Yes, we were very excited for the 1-2 punch with him and AT. However, in the meantime, Diggs made himself a cancer in the locker room, on the sideline, on social media, on regular media. Now it’s good for him to not be a part of the Vikings.

With all the crap the Pats like topull I wouldn’t be surprised if it is all a ruse.

I’m not sure what is up with Diggs but it’s been coming for quite a while.
I really enjoyed watching him play in purple and wish him the best with Buffalo.
    Thanks for the memories Stephon!

Diggs is overrated, and will not be a franchise WR in this league. The one play that made him a name in the league, the Minneapolis Miracle catch against the Saints, was not because he is a star WR, but more because the Safety completely whiffed on the tackle. He is a good WR, has skills, but his back handed social media crap makes him a cancer in a long line of cancer WR’s. Adam Thielen may not be as physically talented, but is 10x the team player WR.

Brady is interesting, I think he wants to prove the NE success was more him than Belichick, and I think it is the same for Belichick. I think they are both going to find out, it was both of them.

Diggs had some good numbers for MN … hopefully they can fill the void either with some free agents, maybe Johnson elevates himself (and Irv Smith), and its a deep draft supposedly for college WR’s.
The young guys usually take some time to develop … usually.

Well the Vikings move a productive player with ever growing attitude issues and significantly help their draft stock.

Meanwhile, the Bears…sign Jimmy Graham to a two year $16M deal…

Bummed the Vikes missed out on Graham, if he was able to put up 440 yards receiving with Aaron Rodgers at QB, think of what he’d do with Cousins!

Maybe about 100 yards with Cousins. coffee
And I’m not even a Packers fan whistling But I hope your not saying Cousins is a better QB than Rogers is Phil…

He’s going to look really good trying to catch those over throws from Allen!

    45 catches
    620 yards
    3 TD’s

Probably starts crying by week 6 when things get rough. Selfish player and Vikes get a haul if you ask me plus around 5 million in capspace. Former 5th round pick and this is the deepest draft in a decade so plenty of options in the draft and free agency.

Thanks for the memories Diggsy, but it was time for you to go. I hope the break-up works out for both sides. Very pleased by what slick Rick got in return.

Touche lol. Poke the bear all you want, but I will not be defending the packers secondary in any way, shape, or form. I’ve seen enough from that bunch to know better whistling

Now with all the cap space we should be able to GO GET ANTONIO

Brady to Tampa Bay is a pretty big deal. They effectively become a 12-14 wins team with him in place of Famous Jameis. And it helps Diggs situation also, now Buffalo stands to be the winner of AFC East, getting better, with NE getting much worse.

What are the odds we draft Diggs’ little brother now? With Rhodes cut and Waynes leaving through free agency we need some CB talent.

Right? That’s like trading a pre-cancerous mole for Stage 5 Pancreatic Cancer.
