I made a deal with my 12 year old son and told him if he mows the lawn once a week this summer I will buy him a new bow. The Diamond infinite edge caught my eye. Having a draw length from 13-30 inches and a draw weight from 5-70 without a bow press sounds great. Anyone have one of these? His current bow only goes to 35 pounds and I would like him to he pulling a little more by the fall.

Yes my wife has one she started pulling back 30 and is now up to 40 in 16 months. Not a bad bow at all. She killed her first doe last year at 33 yds and a complete pass through and the deer only went 60 yds. It’s a great beginner bow!

I started olivia out with a Parker Buck Shot. She’s moved on to a Mathews, but over 6 years later she still uses it for bowfishing.

Another one to look at is the Mission Craze. Great reviews, and I know a number of kids who use them. Also, a lot of guys taking a trip will buy one for the group because of it’s easy adjustability in case a bow goes down. Between those two, have him shoot both and let him decide. Such a personal preference deal. The Infinite is a great bow, I know a lot of people buy them and really like them.

The question now is will he follow through with his promise? I ended up buying the infinite edge. Hopefully it will come at the end of the week. I challenged him to shoot 100 arrows a day this summer. He is super pumped. His 7 year old brother is all ready eyeing up his current bow.

Yes. He has his 20 yard group dialed in to about 4 inches. I had them set the bow at 35 pounds when I bought it online and he could pull that back easily so I cranked it down a little more. Not sure what it is at right now but I bought a bow scale to check it. He will definitely be ready by the fall. woot

3 of my kids have the Diamond. They are a nice bow package for a decent price. So far, they all really love them!!
