I’m looking to buy an dh longboard rod but found no pics of the action (rod bend) online. Not even on dh site. I’m kinda picky and i prefer something more of a moderate to fast action not xtra fast. I simply don’t like the TB noodle nor the tucr noodle. Any pics or info will help. I like to visit their store but living in saint paul I simply don’t want to drive that far unless I am buying something. Thanks

Can’t help you as I have no experience with those rods.

But you could make your trip worth while without buying something. Just drive out, stop into their store check out a rod….buy/don’t buy. Then go punch some holes in Minnetonka thus making it a non wasted day. Who knows, maybe they’ll have one laying around that they’d let you try out on the lake since they’re right on Spring Park Bay

It won’t be for you. I have one and it is just a longer a noodle rod. X fast tip into a very solid backbone.

I was told that the longboard uses the same blank as the al dente. I’ve seen the al dente on youtube. Is that about the right action of the longboard

I believe it’s the same blank, just longer. If you don’t like the looks of the el dente you won’t like the longboard either.

I ordered an Al Dente a couple weeks ago. I called Dusty before ordering. I asked about the Longboard, and he confirmed it has the same tip action, just added length to the butt section.

Look into a deadstick for a more moderate action.

Most companies are going to faster action rods because you can feel more with the rod and the market demands it.

Mozy, Does the Backbone on the longboard noodle get stiffer with the longer blank. I really like the Aldente but want a stouter backbone for larger jigs and live bait deadstick for pike and possibly lake trout. How stout is the backbone and how sensitive is the tip?

    Thanks, Onepine

I’d think any rod with Noodle in the title would not be what you want for pike or lake trout. At least none of the Noodle rods I’ve ever looked at
