Our group is fishing with Perch Patrol starting the 10th of January anyone been on Devils Lake that can share a report? They have told us to bring cleats so I am guessing not a ton of snow out there.

This is my 6th year in a row going and looking back at the history our best year was under similar weather pattern that is shaping up as the forecast is for highs around 30 and some sunshine so I am hopeful.

We do the typical buckshots and gold tungsten if anyone else has a tactic they would share I am all ears. I am going to tie on a double jig rig this year I think just to try.

If anyone can share recent fishing action I am just curious….

    Thanks in advance.

We are headed up the 10th and will be fishing with Brys guide service the 11th and 12th. I know they aren’t advising truck travel on the ice. Good luck and I hope to hear how you did.

How was the trip Lance? I’m headed out at the end of February for my first trip there.

We had a good trip. Had a group of 10 and limited out basically on walleye for the group. Nice eater size fish nothing really over 21 inches. Some good size perch but not the numbers the lake can be known for. All in all we were able to bring back a good amount of fish for family and set the hook.

Group had a great time with Perch Patrol and Woodland Resort. People debate the value of guides I feel that they are vital for us not just because your assured that you get out each year and each day but also you have years of knowledge within that guide group.

Hope everyone has a good trip out there.

Typical stuff worked for us. Buck shot spoons and gold tungsten jigs. We fished mainly less than 15 ft of water.
