Good day to all of you! I am heading to Devil’s Lake for 3 days then Webster, SD for 3 days. I am leaving on the 1st and coming back on the 6th. Can anybody help me out with these areas to fish? Going after perch and walleye obviously. Just me so not really looking to hire a guide service. I am very grateful for the assistance.
Devil’s lake has been slower than usual this year. Stop into bait shops and see it they’ll sell you a topographical map of the lake and then try to find some structure to fish. Devil’s used to be a lot lower than it is now, so there’s a lot of sunken man-made structure that fish are like magnets to. A lot of the lakes down by Webster don’t have too much structure, so unless you’re in a lake with some nice structure, just keep moving around until you find a school of fish. Drop down some big flashy baits to call them in. Good luck fishing and happy holidays!
