Well I headed out solo Saturday morning in search of some walleyes. Stuck with the game plan I have been using lately of going with bouncers, blades and crawlers. I have been using 1-1/2 oz bouncers mainly as it has been pretty calm the last few times out.
The morning got off to a slow start as I started out making passes in 26-28 fow. I was marking some fish out there, but not like I had in the past few outings. I ended up having to move up to the 18-22 fow range to start catching fish. Gold was again the blade that worked for me, Jolly Roger Firebelly to be exact. Water temp was around 78-79 while I was out.
Ended up catching eight walleyes, keeping 4. A few hit so aggressively on whole crawlers that I had to keep them. Lucas will be happy I did when we cook them up
