Depth finders

    I’m looking for a new Depth finder. Is there one out there that will mark fish when the boat is on plan at speeds about 15mph? I have no favorite locator so I’m open to any kind. Thanks Mike

    Any of the new electronics should mark fish at 15mph. Need more info to give you a rec. First of all, what price range?

    Side and downscan will probably not work at 15mph but fish id in 2D sonar should if its setup properly. All of my units do.

    I’m looking at$1000/2000. I have a lowrance elite 7 HDI now.

    My cousin just bought a combo package at scheels a 12 inch and a 9 inch elite ti2 lowrance. We had it out on the river Sunday and after some fine tuning were able to see suspended fish while cruising between 15 and 20 miles an hour. I dont think there is any chance to pick up bottom huggers at that speed
