My neighbor has one on his boat and it seems to be a very nice unit. The picture is very bright and clear. He is very happy with it.

Yes, I had the Raymarine DS500X several years ago and really liked it. It wasn’t super fancy or expensive but the screen was really easy to see with very minimal clutter. The color palettes really pop. I don’t have any experience with the new units but they look very nice. I use a Lowrance Elite 5-HDI now.

Truth be told though, I use my Marcum LX-5 in the boat a lot because we rarely have ice in Kansas. I know you’re interested in graphs–but I just thought I’d throw that out there. It works very well on open water.

SuperDave, nice rig! Those campers change the game for fishing. It’s so nice to come back to the AC on a hot afternoon for lunch and maybe even a nap.

    Good luck out there guys!
