Staying in Lake City for a week and will be fishing Pepin and Pool 4. Wanted to try Denver rigs for the first time, and was curious what speed you guys like to troll this setup?
    Thanks.

Depending on who you ask, 1.5 to 2.50 mph. I’m normally around the 1.75 mark for the best results.

Hope the Denver rigs worked better than the shad raps on saturday.
Fished most the day got 2 dandy perch 2 sheephead and a short walleye. Stayed south of Lake City.

Gave them an honest shot, but no luck. Never seen so many mayflies in my life over the course of the week. There were times they were so thick in the water the ‘bird was marking the cloud as bottom. Sheepshead everywhere we fished. Salvaged trip by targeting panfish, and whitebass.

Considering the hatch on Sunday night…I think you did very well.

Thanks. It was a family reunion trip, so low stress fishing. Had a nice fish fry Monday night for 11 people, so no complaints toast
