Was out walleye fishing Sunday. Buddy and I were rip jiggin 1/16oz jigs and shinners. 6.5-9.5 fow. We got close to the break and I got this immage on the helix 12 gen2 mega. We think they were carp cause how high off bottom they were and there were carp surfaceing the whole morning. And cause how big they were. I’ve marked and seen fish on SI before (kinda new to me) but never like this. It reminded us of the HB commercials or of the demo mode you see on the units set up in stores. Just thought I’d share.

Ah yes, the goldfish cracker display. Every time we see those someone invariably pipes up with the “we love fishes ‘cuz they’re so delicious” jingle.

Weird I sing that almost every time I’m frying fish. That or McDs jingle. Give me that fish give me that fillet o fish. Might have something to do with the Hamms that always accompanies a fish fry.

I’m a lowrance owner and have no knowledge of how to read a Hummingbird SI unit. Are the light or dark marks fish? what are the other marks?

Lowrance should give you the same display. The light marks are the fish, the darker marks further out is the shadow created by those fish.

Wow that is cool. I really need to upgrade my electronics. I have been holding off until I get my next and probably final boat. I just don’t want to get all new electronics on my current boat only to have to switch them over to a new boat in a year or two.

I got a sweet pic of a Paddle fish earlier this spring. They were pretty active that day and had 4 or 5 of them show themselves. Cool technology!!

Looks like you have you settings dialed in pretty good. I struggle with my si. Settings. I can see tires but no fish. Lol

Looks like you can make out a sucker style mouth on them. The shadows DO look like goldfish, James. That was my first thought!

Reno- cool shot. I see a lot of other fish scattered, hugging bottom. Walleyes or rough fish?
