Cool lookin box but it looks really heavy and it’s expensive. I got an otter rod box and am happy with it. I have seen that box online for as low as 135$
I have an otter box also. But from what I have seen it don’t compare to the ice advantage box. Tackle storage nice rod storage may b a little heavier but no big deal. Not to mention the hinges on the otter box are junk. U get what u pay for.

Really? I’ve used the same Otter box for the last 6 years. I’d describe it as bullet-proof. Including the hinge. Same for all the other Otter Rod boxes used by the dozens of anglers I fish with. To be honest, I’ve never heard of a single hinge failure. I guess it all comes down to what you expect out of a product that’s intended to be beat on, stomped, kicked and punished season after season. So, junk? Not quite. But you’re most definitely entitled to your opinion.
Yes my hinges are bad. The box itself is not junk just the hinges. When they are cold they warp and pop my rivets. It has happened twice. It’s not just my box either have talked a couple different guys with the same problem who are unhappy. Don’t get me wrong I love otters products just not happy with the hinges on the box and hinges only.
Hinges as in plural? I thought my otter rod box had a single hinge running the length of the box. For the abuse it has seen, I can find no faults at all with it. I’d rate it as one of my better purchases. I would buy another in a heartbeat.
I have just one otter box and love it! When I got mine a few years ago I was disappointed in the hinge too. Not that the quality was bad but it seamed flimsy because there were only 2 rivets attaching the hinge to the top and 4 attaching it to the bottom. I added 4 extra rivets to the top and 3 more to the bottom and now I couldn’t be happier with it!
