In some sub sections there are areas that aren’t being used or updated and haven’t for years & years. Can’t they go away now? Here are some from the Pike & Muskie section.

I’ve been working on reverting this multi site setup (ido, fishing, hunting) into a single site. This change includes the needed cleaning and utilizing the stock buddypress templates so everyone can manage their email, password and other settings without running into errors.

The fatal errors aren’t happening that often now so with some luck the switch over will happen anytime before halloween hits. )

Possibly – The issue with marking a classified as closed will be fixed this weekend. I’ll copy the fix back into place here too when it is ready.

    What other issues are there?

The “Favorite” function does not work. Also all prior favorites appear to have been deleted. Can those be restored?

It looks like favorites still exists for each user account. This is provided that the bbp_engagements meta key is what I think it is. The upgrade process for bbPress has issues with sites having more than 10,000 members. They don’t mention it but I’m sure they also have issues with sites that have as many topics as this one does.

The 2.6 version upgrade tried to move user favorites from the user meta table to the post meta table. This helps when sending notifications related to member favorites but it would have to suck for showing/managing user favorites for forums of this size.

I will need to dig a bit deeper into this issue before I know what’s what for sure. The upgrade process failed with favorites but hopefully it didn’t clear them out.

That’s what I was going to say was the issue.
