Delete all icons

I have an older Lowrance LCX 104C that I am taking off the boat to sell. I don’t have a lot of way points saved on it and I know how to delete all of them, but how do I delete all icons quickly? I have a ton of icons on it.

Do I need to take the lake master chip out before I do the delete or should I leave it in? The chip will be sold with the graph.

Delete All Waypoints
You can remove all of the waypoints from the unit’s memory. To do this, press the MENU key, then highlight the System Setup menu and press the right arrow key. Now highlight the DEL ALL WPTS label. The unit re-moves all waypoints from memory. Note: This also removes all routes from memory.

You shouldn’t have to remove your card as nothing is written to it, but I would as a safety measure.

I believe he is asking about deleting all the icons. He mentioned that he already knows how to delete all waypoints.

Correct, but thanks Brian

Icons are there for ever, no way to delete them that I know of. It doesn’t matter if the chip is in or not.

I have been able to delete them one at a time, I just don’t know how to do it all at once. If I had to do it one at a time it will be a year before I am done

Delete an Icon

You can delete all the icons at one time

, you can delete all icons repre-
sented by a particular symbol, or you can use the cursor to delete a se-lected icon from the map.
The Delete All Icons command will ask if you are sure. Press ← to
YES |ENT
. All icons will be deleted from the map.
The Delete by Symbol command will launch the Select Symbol menu.
Press ← or ↑ or → or ↓ to select the icon symbol to delete, then press ENT. A message appears saying all icons with the selected symbol have been deleted.
