Something just isn’t right with the picture. And hey, when you look at Star Trek and Star Wars, let alone Saving Private Ryan, you can do alot with pictures to make them what you want………

However, on the contrary of what I’m saying……..My first Archery buck has ears the size of Dumbo, a long, skinny nose, and big eye brows. He also has about 5 whiskers, that are about 5 to 6 inches long coming out of his chin. Yes, it sounds like a spoof, but if I had a digital camera, I would take a picture. I had the head mounted because of the oddity and the rack is actually quite nice!

Cmon guys…that’s gotta be someone’s Mom in that picture…do you think they would con Mom into holding a pair of rattling horns on the head of bessie to try and fool us all? Shame. I would like to hear the whole story though.

I think we’ve proven several times over on this thread that Black Deer CAN and DO exist.

Yes I am concerned about it I have a young son that shot his first Deer this fall.He is learning and asking alot of questions about Deer and Deerhunting lately.The picture of this mistry deer is just not right.Elvis didnt even have hair that black.Im not doubting that a black variety does exist hense the pictures in whitetail magazine.But they are a more believeable color.And they have hunters with there origin and the story that goes with it.So once again until someone comes up with a testimonial,I’m writing it off as a fake.

And for the record..jackalopes do exist . Why, when I lived out in Wyoming, you had to keep your eyes on the road. If you were to run one over, they could stick an antler in the tire and cause a blowout. I am not sure if you spent much time in WY, but it is a looooooooooooong walk to the nearest town, and there are only like 10 people who livein the whole state. Are jackalopes real….sheesh. They must be real, I also seen one hanging on the wall at Gander, tourist must have brought it here.

My husband and I were driving north on I95 toward Houlton, Maine about 20 minutes ago and saw 4 black deer. Two were large, had some white on the throat area. Two were much smaller. They were beautiful. I have never seen one before and came on the internet to do a search for Black Deer. This site came up in my search.

Speaking of jackalopes, I did a naughty thing one day while working at Gander. There were a couple of people looking at the jacks that were for sale. One guy said, “I think they are from western SD.” I thought he was fookin’ around. I said I was from SD, and used to see them all the time when coyote hunting. You should have seen the questions those two came up with. I just played a long. I know it wasn’t very nice.

There is an article in the September issue of North American Whitetail about this deer, this is no hoax guys. I looked on the website but could not find the article, Sept issue is on newsstands now, check it out.
