Friendly safety reminder!!!

    Hey all, hope everyone had a good safe WI Opener. Just wanted to share an experience that could have changed my life. I climbed into my stand early Saturday morning, and it was still dark. I saw a couple of does, and didn’t have a shot at either of them. My brother in-law had shot a doe, and needed help getting back over a barbed wire fence. When I was climbing down out of my stand, the top screw in step pulled out of the tree, and I fell about 15 feet onto the not so soft ground. I learned a very valuable lesson. On your way up, make sure that all of the steps are in good and tight. Luckily, I am okay, very sore, but otherwise in good shape. So, because of a careless mistake on my part, I could have been hurt very badly, or possibly killed. Just a little reminder.
    I appreciate you letting me preach to the choir here a little.

    It’s good to share that info here, you may have just saved the next guy from havein the same thing happen to them with worse end results.

    It’s good to share that info here, you may have just saved the next guy from havein the same thing happen to them with worse end results.

    Thanks for the safety reminder, good to hear you are alright Most tree stand accidents happen when climbing in or out of the stand.
