They were EVERYWHERE!

    So, it’s 2/11/14 and I’m making my weekly run in the Rockford, IL area and as I’m traveling to a stop in Freeport, I look to my left and there was a field, roughly 80-100 acres, and it had deer in it EVERYWHERE!!!! Running, feeding….. acting like life was good! They have less snow than we do but it’s about a foot deep. Anyway, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen any deer anywhere and it felt good to see a large yarding like that. Just wanted to share.

    I know the deer herd has change in my area, years ago deer would yard up in certain areas in LATGE numbers I have seen as many as roughly 175 deer in one yarding area. Now a days they seem to stay more in just small groups spread out.
