What are some items that fellow iDo members must have when heading to the tree?

I’ll eliminate a few obvious items:
    Gun/bow
    Binoculars
    Deer Tag

Just thought it would be nice to get ideas from others.

A nice fluffy cushion or seat pad to sit on. I have one in every stand and then I just collect them all at the end of the season.

Thermos “The Rock” with coffee and fancy Vanilla creamer in it.

And on a related note, half gallon empty plastic jug. For when the abovementioned coffee works its way through the system. That’d be a wide-mouth, half gallon, empty jug, of course.

One of the biggest things I notice is some kind of hook or hanger. Hunting in popple country I don’t always have a limb to use for hanging gear.

Another thing we added to all our stand locations is a leash to hoist gear. Nice to have a rope or leash already set to go when arriving at the stand.

1st and foremost….Handheld Yahtzee! For me it’s better than a book because I can only play for about 2 games before I get sick of it. I could get lost reading a book for a long time. It helps me stay in the tree even if I am a little distracted! Otherwise I’ll always bring hand warmers, something to drink and a few snacks.

Here is something that flew across my radar the other week, it looks pretty handy as I have dropped many things from my tree!

Hunting my own property in an enclosed stand…..

    Lunch /snacks
    Lighter
    Thermos of coffee
    Water
1 can of beer for a toast if I shoot
    Cell phone

I sit from dark until dark unless I pull the trigger, and that assortment gets me thru he day without an issue.

Many of the things above, but ALWAYS have a grunt tube with me, any time during the season.

Comfort. You can only stay on stand as long as you are comfortable. My last two have had very good seats.

x2!! In addition to the other necessities, I like to have a bottle of water with. Never know when you’re going to need to clear your throat or clean something.
