Drastic Tactic…. Getting Desperate

So, I was talking with a fellow IDO member about deer hitting alfalfa the past few days. Since I don’t have any alfalfa to hunt over, I decided to take matters into my own hands and drove out to the food plot before the snow was too deep and brought the snow blower along.

As I was on my 7th pass, 9 turkeys decided to come out and start scratching the area that I had just blew out. I knew the cold was coming and thought I would make the remaining growth easier to access for the wildlife.

Hopefully it pays off when I sit over it 1-2 times in the last week of season.

That’s dedication! I hope something happens in the next few days. It’s been a tough December on everyone that is still hunting.

That will help! In years of heavy snow/ice I take my ATV with the snow plow and scrape areas free and the deer/turkey have hit it hard!
