I got lucky with my blaze orange jacket – years ago my husband found a plastic tote dumped all over the road with some orange in it. No identification in any of it. Bummer for that guy, but good for me. And it was already broken in with wear and tear so when I started hunting, I didn’t look too much like a newbie. I also got lucky with my blaze orange overalls – my parents bout me a pair for Christmas one year. From Fleet Farm I think. Have you checked craigslist for people selling used orange gear? Might be some people who aren’t hunting any more or have changed sizes looking to pass along their used goods.

I don’t mess with Blaze Clothes. Get a quality blaze vest. Then you can wear any type of gear underneath.

I only bowhunt and this is what I have done to meet requirements to bow hunt during gun season. A decent blaze stocking had and cheap over clothing, makes it alot less painful when you tear a pocket on a tree step and quicker to dry when you need to dry them after washing.

I wear the thick liner from my regular winter coat under my camo bowhunting jacket and an orange vest over that.

However, if you’re located somewhere near southern WI, I have a lot of warm blaze that I’d love to donate to a hunter in need. Size XL

I don’t mess with camo, just get blaze and wear a camo vest when bowhunting…

(I feel safer in blaze orange head to toe, don’t knock it until you try it)
