    Was on stand this morning with the boy and we had a gutshot 5 pointer limp up to the stand. Boy was going to take him out but never got the shot.

    Questions- Is it true that the dnr will give you a tag for such and instance? Does it matter if it’s in an APR zone? And, its my understanding that youth don’t have to adhere to the APR?

    Yes, the DNR/Conservation Officer can give you permission to dispatch a wounded animal. Or they may come and do it themselves, depending on the situation.
