Deer hunting in high winds?

The current forecast for opening day in my hunting area is currently at 27 MPH out of the NNW. I sure hope that changes some. A few of my stands will be really swaying around in that kind of winds. How does high winds usually effect the deer movement. I would think they would be rather skittish given that the wind will effect both their hearing and sense of smell. I can not remember hunting in winds that high before. Anything you all do different when hunting in high winds?

My experience has been that deer don’t move much during high winds, as it affects their sight, smell and hearing. When the wind howls I’ve had my best luck hunting areas out of the wind such as thick cover, pines, ravines, bowls or other low lying areas.

My experience is much like Justin’s. The deer move extremely late if at all and are constantly on the run.
