Awesome deer hunting accessory

I’m sure many of you are already doing this (Check out Steve Plantz post from a few years ago – Otter Sled For Hauling Deer ) but I thought I would pass along a tip for getting more use out of gear that many of us already have in our garage.

My sled has been a life saver as I’ve used it to pull deer out of my deep woods late season stand which is almost a mile through clear cut areas full of brush piles and across a swamp with knee deep water that I don’t know how I would have gotten out without the sled.

I have a heavy-duty deerdragging sled (not Otter brand) that looks like a large kiddie snow sled. Made out of the same ultra-thick plastic as an Otter. It is amazing. It is so rigid that you can two-man carry a deer through rough stuff like a stretcher. I will never drag another deer w/o it. Oh – and it’s a must-have for dragging bear as well.

To my knowledge, they don’t make them anymore. Scored mine at a garage sale a few years back.
