Speaking of which… how in the heck DOES one land a 40+ lb laker through a hole punched by an ice auger? I just don’t see how a fish that big and deep would fit.

I saw does bedded in the middle of picked bean field. 5 different bucks running around in circles in a picked fields out in the middle of no where.
And ive got one more week before im off for two…
I blew it !!! At 3:15 a stud of a 10pt came in working a scrape . I was taking a drink of water an put water bottle in my pocket quick . No time to put it in my pack . Grabbed my bow an started to draw an the water bottle fell outa my pocket.
I had to work this morning, unfortunately this afternoon I was a day late and a dollar short. By the time I got home showered suited up and to my stand it was 3:34, pulled a card on my way and had a decent 8 go passed my cam at 3pm would have ended up passing my stand at about 15 yards. The rest of the afternoon I seen nothing. Off threw the 5’th so will be spending plenty of time in a tree…. With a little luck I can connect.

The best two weeks are still in the future, I wish you the best getting back after this guy!
Thank you. I will be back at again tomorrow day light tell dark . It just wasn’t meant to be today . But tomorrow is a whole new day in the woods
