I hope to be posting a picture of a monster SD buck. The weather the first few days looks to be promising…if you are a duck. Luckily we don’t have any trees and I’ll be tucked in the box blinds.

Got a giant mound of stuff to pack tomorrow night. Going through it again tonight. I might have to rent a uhaul… And I make fun of the way my wife packs. Seriously, 3 rifles, 4 pistols, bow, target, totes, lead sled and 100 qt cooler. I’m going for 10 days, not the rest of my life…. Oh, and 100’s of rounds of ammo.

I’ve been dreaming about this buck since last Saturday. Thursday can’t come soon enough.

Looks like he is showing up with plenty of daylight. Hopefully he continues to carry out his pattern without pushing it too much into the night. Good luck man! He’s a great buck and I’ll be checking to see the progress

As I get older, I enjoy the anticipation and the trip to/from the hunting much more. “Windshield time” as one outdoors writer so well put it.

Good luck Kooty. Don’t shoot up too much of that ammo, it’ll take you about 3 years to replace it.

I am the same way. The journey to camp, hearing all the stories from past hunts and bs’ ing with everyone is why I travel 7 hours north each firearm season. The hunt is a bonus.
