Story to come . Im doing the family thing today . I can tell you this after 280 hours plus in the woods this year. It was a very emotional bitter sweet ending to my archery season .

Had the option of hunting the last 3 days of wis rifle or staying home and hunting the mn muzzle loader season. Easy choice. I am set up over looking the”zoo”stand in mn.with the warm weather I don’t expect to see any mature bucks feeding during daylight but you just never know

Couldn’t pass the oportunty. They hung around in that brush until 2 minutes to closing time. Sparky (tikka 270wsm) did his job and put the peg in this does coffin at 350 yrds.

Nice job Randy! I cannot buy a deer that is less than 300 yards away and is bigger than a yearling. Tough yeR for me. I’ll bd out in this am.

Not really a live pic as it was to snowy to take my gloves of to make a post. No deer spotted tonight but it was an awesome night to be in the woods. The frozen leaves blowing sounded like the woods was full of wind chimes.

Hunting a narrow strip of woods this morning that runs a long the cedar river . Surrounded by picked corn. Lets see what happens . Its colder than a well diggers butt. They should be feeding.

Last sit of the season was amazing tonight. Weather was perfect. Too bad the deer didn’t cooperate. I snow shoed in about a half mile in soft thigh deep snow. It was quite a work out for this fat kid. I was going to shoot the first mature deer that walked by. Needless to say, my standards went way up after the trek in. No way I was dragging a deer out in that snow even with the sled I took in.

2013 was my personal best year ever with a bow in my hand. I can’t wait to see what 2014 brings me. In the mean time, I’m off to wreck a few coyotes day.
