Can you put the actual pics on instead of the “pic of a pic”? That should help to get a better idea.

Also, if you really want to know, please pm me the GPS coordinates and grant me permission to archery hunt. I don’t charge very much….. It will only cost a buck to figure out exact measurement.

Thanks for the response Gobbler! But unfourtently I don’t have these pictures on my home computer, so if you could just give me a rough guess. Kinda want to know what kind of caliber deer will be running around.
There’s a side view of that 8 point.
And I wish I could tell you where it was but I just can’t!!

not looking real close I would say some 150 and 160 inch deer.. they would all look good on the wall!

hop you have an encounter with one of these beauties!

I agree with TheGun. Some beauty deer. Can’t wait to see them grow this spring! We got our first buck on camera the other day. He’s not sporting any horns yet, but he’s back from his wintering spot!

Okay thanks theguN! How much bigger should I expect them to get? We found the sheds to two of the deer, we have mineral and protein out all year, so a couple inches bigger? Or more than that?
    Thanks for the reply!

I think they could put on 10-20 inches if they have the proper diet, minerals and stress free environment. Of course, a lot will depend on how they wintered too. I’d be super excited if I was you.

Yeah I’m super pumped to get my cameras back out! Probably next weekend! That 8 pointer could turn out to be a big buck!

One more thing, is there a category for a record 8 point for archery? Or is it separated only by nontypical and typical?

Well, that’s always the question, isn’t it?

I think a lot depends on how secure you thing the deer are in terms of getting taken by other hunters or by predators. If you have a lot of land where the deer can and do stay on your property and probably keep out of the reach of other hunters, it’s one story. Higher hunting pressure and deer that are moving between properties are another.

If it were me, I’d be putting one of those deer on the hit list and pick the one or two with the biggest spread to let grow and see if they get bigger. It’d be a shame to not get one or more of those deer.

Thanks famous grouse! My cousin and I are the only ones who bow hunt on the property all year. And then 7 other family members hunt it for a week during opener and that’s it. We leave corn and beans for the in the winter and have three ponds, so I think for the most part stay on are property(about 400 acres) so we try having as little stress on the bucks as possible, it’s hard to decide which one to go for!!

You aren’t gonna get much sympathy from me.

I do not believe there are any official recognized records for 8 or 10 points per say. Although any 8 point with 150 inches of bone is ginormous in my book.

Very nice Bucks!! it is hard to age them without better pics.
I have found that the deer in southern wisconsin tend to be in the 130-150″ range by 2.5 years old some will pack on 10-30 inches per year while others we have on camera only gain a few per year If you see a white chev pickup following you around this weekend it’s not me

The wide buck looks very familar… but it’s hard to tell without seeing a better pic.

Yeah Wisconsin seems to just grow bigger bucks sometimes. 2 years ago I shot a 173 inch buck at the same place. I’m guessing half of it over there now is genetics. Agreed?
And I’ll keep an eye out for a white pick up! But don’t think I’ll be able to get around in the woods with the snow!!

No I don’t think they are! The wide one I have is an 8 point and the one he posted is a 10 point! And all Wisconsin deer!
