Thanks for the report Brian. Sounds like you are still able to locate some crappies. I think that they maybe finally moved off of the dam at Sherman. We didn’t find many there on Saturday and weren’t able to fish it at all on Sunday.

The wind Sunday was unbelievable. We saw cedar trees that were cut in a pasture blowing like tumble weeds and a a fullsized backyard tramp blowing down the road in Loup City.

Thanks again for the report Brian; hopefully the wind will die down and we all can take advantage of the drop in water temperature.

I know what you are talking about Brian. I went out on Hillsdale today, I’d say the wind was blowin 40-45 this afternoon. I caught about a dozen 12″ white bass and four crappie before the wind got too bad. Then it was too much for my little flat bottom, I would have took my Nitro had I known it was going to blow today.

Yup, read your report Twister….damn that wind, eh Jorg? When that front came thru here last night, I was pretty disappointed. I really wanted to fish all day today, but it wasn’t totally wasted- the NFL was decent to watch, even if it was the cowgirls and chefs. At least it wasn’t the donkeys….this week. But I digress. I’m hopin to make it out later this week, so we’ll see what happens. Hope to give the weather a chance to stabilize and see if I can find some fish with jigs.

Thanks for the report Brian. I see you didn’t make it to the check, did you check out any other holes for any sauger?

Nope, kinda ran out of time to check out some other spots. I was still about 4 miles from some of the good holes. Might make it out later this week though to check it out. They gotta be out there somewhere.

Great news Alliance members! Senator Jeremy Miller has asked us to “call off the dogs”. He is now convinced that APR is supported by the majority. He said that his position on APR is now neutral and he will not oppose any bill that is supportive of APR.

Thank you to all who took action on this. This is yet another example of how the Minnesota Whitetail Alliance has made a difference. This is at least the fifth time our actions have been recognized by a public figure or organization as making a significant difference! Keep up the great work!

I will be sending out another call to action soon, so be looking for that one.

Just got some great news! The APR language has passed and has made it into the Game and Fish bill! I will get more information later but I just wanted to pass this news on for now.

If you are able to, it would be a good idea to send in a letter to the Outdoor News, thanking Representative Hansen, Senator Schmit, and the DNR for their hard work on APR. Also, mention a few thoughts on your feelings about APR and the future of deer hunting in Minnesota. If you feel so inclined, you can also mention the Minnesota Whitetail Alliance. Address to send your comments to is [email protected]
