APR Bill update
Tomorrow (Monday, March 11), the DNR will be presenting its data and recommendations to the Environment and Natural Resources Policy Committee. Our suspicion is that they will recommend that APR is allowed to continue in Zone 3. Given the positive surveys and feedback we have seen, we can’t imagine
another outcome.
On Wednesday, the bill that will allow the DNR to continue the APR regulation (HF1222), will be discussed. Anyone wishing to give testimony is welcome to show up. I am not sure how many people they will allow to testify, but I think that even if we all don’t testify, just showing up will show support. It would be awesome if we could fill up the room and the hallways with APR supporters! It would be very hard for a small minority of hunters to take over the show at that point. If you are planning on attending, email me at [email protected]. Let me know if you are willing to give a testimony or just want to be there in support. I will be there and I will try coordinate some of our efforts when we are at this meeting.
