I had this under the Trapping, but thought I’ld share it here under Deer Hunting.
Just a small tribute to a 10pnt I found today. A sad ending. I’m just assuming, but figured it was from early bow season. Carcass had two ribs “cut” out of it behind the shoulder. Too bad someone wasn’t able to have recovered him, nice size deer.

    That is a sad ending.
Just looking at that second picture>is it my eyes or what? Looks like from that angle I’m looking right at the deer’s face, but the antlers look like they’re over to it left attached to another head? Weird to me….bad deal still…

Yep, reflection. I walked up to it from the rear end. Nasty looking to say the least. The close up pics were bad.

It is never fun to find something like that but it is also way better to find it before it decays or gets chewed up to nothing. Nice find and another good example to check around water if you lose blood. Thanks for sharing

Randy – will you be keeping the rack as garage euro mount or just tell the neighbors what you found and see what they say?

Gave it to the land owner and will let him take it from there. Other than finding it, I have no attachment to it. It’s part of the land I was on and it goes to the land owner.
