My son shot this from a ground blind with his bow. The neat thing is he is only 9 yrs old. He has been shooting since he was 7, but in MI you could not hunt for deer until you were 10 until this yr, but we moved to TN this yr and they have a very young min age. Any ways we had 3 bucks come through and he shot this one which was the second largest of them all. He was very excited and I am proud of him, and he is hooked. The only problem is he wants to shoot everything in the woods now and wants me to take him all the time.

Congrats to the young man! Kind of curious as to why you guys are wearing safety harnesses if you were hunting out of a ground blind?

AWESOME!!! Congrats Hunter. At 9 yrs old, I was busy with a BB gun and shooting chipmunks or squirrels (if I was lucky). Way to go!!

I have had a lot of guys ask me the question about the harnesses. We wore them out in the woods to drag the deer out, because they are a lot easier to drag with a harness. My son decided he wanted to wear his also and help. I think he was more of a hindrance than a help. I attached a picture of our set up.

Hunter wants me to tell you he is still shooting those also with his BB gun and bow. In a matter of fact he got his first bow kill, a chipmunk, when he was 7. Of course he missed a lot before he got one but he eventually succeeded.
