    Congrats on a nice deer. A 270 WSM – that is one tough girl. My buddies do not even like to shoot mine. Not more than once anyway.

    She told me when we picked it out, “I want a light gun, even if it kicks alot. We carry them a whole lot more than we shoot them”, so I got her a nice, light, synthetic stocked Winchester Model 70. When I hear her shoot, I know its time to bring the deer cart over to her stand.

    BTW- she guts and drags them all by herself, too.

    I think it is just as exciting when my kid gets one as when I do!
