Greetings…just making my 2nd post on the IDO Hunting Side. I just got back from chasing Mule Deer in SE Montana. I joined up with some friends from North Dakota and we climbed the hills of the Custer National Forest for the last week.

It was a really fun week as we saw good bucks everyday as well as a lot of other deer. This is pretty rugged country so if a guy is willing to make some climbs and get off the beaten path, you can really get back to some great areas.

Attached below are a few pics of our deer (mine is the first one). Can’t wait to get out there again next year!

Looks like a great hunt Shawn. Congrats on some great bucks. Funny seeing snow after a day like today.

    Thanks Kooty,

Yes, it’s weird to think we were hunting in snow and sub-zero temps just a few days ago. That whole region got hit by a storm last Friday. I left on Sunday and it took me 17 hours to get out there when it’s usually 11. By Tuesday, the temps were in the 40’s and a lot of the snow melted.

You were about 30 miles from our place out there. That second muley is a true trophy for out there. Congrats on all the nice bucks.
