On Tuesday night I was sitting in my dorm and my dad called me and told me that one of the bucks that I have been after has been running all over for the past two days, so I decided to make the drive home that night and skip class the next so I could hunt all day. I packed up the backup when I got home then went to bed. I headed out at around 6:30 am, I was in the stand by 6:50 and at around 8:30 the action picked up. I looked towards the field edge and I a few bucks coming in to bed. The big 9 that I have been after made his way to the pond for a drink while the others bedded down. The 9 made his way back a ripped apart a tree just before bedding down. He laid there until about 3:45 and he and the other bucks both got up and made there way about 40 yards to my left through some brush. The 9 pointer ripped up another tree then made his way down towards the point of the woods where he bumped up a couple does. He chased them around for a long time in the field and they eventually made there way towards me. He came down the trail and made a scrape 25 yards away, but he never gave me a good shot so I just had to watch as he turned the other way and followed the does. It was the first time I have ever sat for an entire day, and I would say that I picked a great day to and I am definitely going to be doing it more often. Good Luck to everyone, Bucks are everywhere!

The deer was 145-150 class I would have to estimate.

Well, if you can’t kill him, at least you got a couple great encounters.
