I made a mock scrape in the front of one of my stands where I know the deer travel, but they dont visit it or even use it for that matter. it have a licking branch with herd on a stick above it but they aren’t using that either.. what am I doing wrong??
Get yourself some buck urin and put it in the scrape and scrape the ground with a stick making it look like a buck has been visiting it. Don’t do anything with the licking branch because the bucks will scent that themselves. I’ve tried to be as careful as possible to not leave any scent from my boots in or near the scrape. I always scented my scrape 3 times a week or more to make it look like a buck was frequently checking it out. I’ve heard some guys even urinate themselves in the scrape and they say that works too.
