Last night I was sitting with my one of my closest friends, and we brought my camera along to film in case a shooter came by. The stand is along a cut corn field with a major bedding area about 100 yards up the hill from us. Throughout the whole night deer were around us but finally about an hour before dark the bucks started showing up. About 100 yards away in the field there were 3 different little bucks fighting and grunting back and forth. They were in the field the rest of the night and then about 5 minutes before dark an extremely wide 10 pointer came out of the woods 40 yards to our left. He sat in the field awhile, so with light dwindling I tried grunting at him but he didn’t pay any attention to it and he made his way back into the woods. After he went back we could hear something come running down the hill right at us. We finally were able to see the deer, but it was a little after dark so all we could catch was a glimpse of its white rack, didn’t look to impressive though. After hunting all weekend and seeing many different bucks and even a few chasing a doe, I would say within the next week and half things are going to be crazy! To bad I’m stuck at college all week. Can’t wait to get home on Friday for the weekend!

This weekend will be my first chance to hunt. I can’t wait!
The cooler temps this weekend won’t hurt anything either.
