If you have read the action from the tree post you have prolli seen that i have been takeing the wife with on the last few hunts! we set up two locations this year that have two stands in one tree! So that I can be with to share the whole experience with her! She has been hunting for 4 yrs total and was finally able to get her first deer! So on tuesday night we were in one of our trees sitting together and we had a couple does come in and they were a little on the small side and at bout 10 yds! she had passed them does up cuz she has been waiting for a nice mature doe! She’s been picky bout her first deer! We also seen one other doe and four bucks that night! So we setup on Thursday night in a spot where I had seen four bucks and some nice mature does! So as the night unfolded we had some turkeys come in to the plot and get the blood flowing a bit! We just love seeing animals in there home and get me excited to see any movement! So as the turkeys left I told aftins that turkeys and deer typically like to travel together or feed at the same time for me anyways! So ten mins after the turkeys exited the plot the deer were coming! As soon as she spotted the deer I could feel the tree shaking,I thought some of the acorns in the tree were actually gonna fall off! The first doe in the plot was a nice doe all by herself! there were three others with her but well behind her! As the deer for closer aftins raised her bow and for ready for the shot! the deer passed by at bout fifteen yards and broadside but walking a good clip to get to the corn field! As she walked she presented a nice quarterinf away shot at bout 20 yds! So as I stopped her with a little quiet grunt the arrow was flying and she connected! After she got her she couldn’t have been happier! Finally after four years of hunting bagged her first deer! Congrats aftin on a great hunt! I am so happy to share the expierience with you! She excited for next one! On a side note I think I was shaking more than her!

Congrats on the 1st bow kill Aftin Mitch you did a great job of putting her on the deer and being there for her when it counted.

Well played! Nicely done Aftin and quality work to you Mitch! We all have several of these moments when we are alone in the woods but there is something even more special when you finally get to share one with someone . Keep up the good work!
